Mr. James H. Matthews DipBA MBA MBCS CITP
Bellmont College Advisory Board Member


Mr Matthews has 27 years of experience in business with BT as a Senior Manager in IT and Telecommunications Programmes. He began as a programmer/analyst and became a senior programme manager for the IT and Telecoms projects.
He began teaching in Durham University's MBA programme in 1986 as an associate Lecturer and retired from BT in 2000. He has been a full-time University Lecturer and dissertation supervisor since 2000 in Business, IT and Project Management on MBA programmes. He previously worked for the University of Durham Business School, University of Warwick, Surrey European Management School, the Open University and various private colleges. Mr Matthews is a dissertation supervisor for Arden University, which he has been doing since November 2013. He is also an Academic Director for a private HE college.
In 2016, Mr Matthews created several modules for Arden, including Systems Analysis and Design, Quality Management, and Information Systems in Organisations. He has also reviewed seven other modules. Mr Matthews has supervised more than 300 dissertations at undergraduate and master's levels for Durham University, Warwick University, and Arden University.
