Dr Trevor Bolton PhD MBA BA (Hons) MCIPD CDipAF PGCE

Dr Trevor Bolton started in the merchant shipping industry before moving into Education, where he worked for many years. He left university life as a Pro-Vice-Chancellor in 2019 and has since developed a portfolio career. He runs his boutique consultancy practice and serves on several boards.
In his governance roles, he has been involved in many projects, such as capital Investment Planning, appointing several Chief Executives, and overseeing a merger. He has served on several committees, including Audit and Risk, Finance, Remuneration and Policy, Sustainability, and Resources.
Via his company, he offers consultancy services to colleges, universities, and other organisations in the public and private sectors in the UK and overseas. He provides expertise in transnational Education, private-public collaboration, relationship building, and growth. He has been fortunate enough to work in several countries and gain insight into several jurisdictions' post-compulsory education and regulatory systems.
Dr Trevor has published several books, papers, and articles and has appeared in print and broadcast media on several occasions. He has degrees from three universities, including a PhD from Lancaster University. He is a corporate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (MCIPD) and holds a Diploma in Accounting and Finance (CDipAF), awarded by ACCA. In his private life, he supports the arts whenever he can, reads widely, and maintains a small vegetable garden.
